Rock Climbing Camps

Donner Summit Summer Rock Climbing Camp    Donner Summit Summer Rock Climbing Camp    Donner Summit Summer Rock Climbing Camp

Our camps are week-long, overnight summer climbing camps. New climbers learn the fundamental skills of movement and rope management; while experienced climbers push their limits on hard climbs, explore rock protection, and learn advanced rope systems.  Many of our expert, AMGA certified guides are world class mountaineers with first ascents or world records.  The comradery, games and evening story-telling are classic.

Camps 1 & 2 - Donner Summit, CA: Ages 10-18. Each camp has a maximimum of 20 participants.

Lodging and meals included at the historic Oakland Ski Club on Donner Summit.  Enjoy BIG SUMMER DAYS of climbing, swimming in alpine lakes, and Wednesday, our climbing rest day, will be spent whitewater rafting!

Camp 3 -Eastern Sierra, CA: Ages 13-18. Max 6 participants.

This camp travels to the Eastern Sierra for high quality sport and traditional climbing, plus epic bouldering!  Enjoy intensive, personalized instruction with a low student to guide ratio.  We'll camp at Rock Creek and climb at the awesome crags this area has to offer:  Pine Creek, Mammoth Lakes, Bishop Bouldering, and Rock Creek to name a few.  Evenings are spent enjoying campfires, hot springs, and stargazing.  Outdoor climbing and camping experience required. This is a great addition to Session 2, making for two great weeks of climbing in the Sierra. This trip starts and ends on Donner Summit.

Cost includes instruction, equipment, food, lodging, rafting fees, transportation during camp. We are happy to support any special dietary needs.
